Skycure Kicks off 2016 with Significant Company and Product Growth
Three Fortune 500 Companies Join Customer Roster of Mobile Threat Defense Leader
Palo Alto, Calif. – February 18, 2016 – Skycure, the leader in mobile threat defense, today announced that the company experienced significant growth in 2015 across a number of measures. Skycure strengthened its leadership team with the addition of Eric Morris, who will head up global sales. The company gained strong traction with customers, adding three Fortune 500 companies to its customer roster. The Skycure mobile threat defense platform conducted 51 million network tests in 2015, and detected the installation of nearly 13,000 malicious apps.
“Last year was a milestone year for Skycure,” said Adi Sharabani, CEO. “Our product vision has been validated by investors, partners, and, most importantly, customers. Mobile threats are only continuing to grow as the vast majority of enterprise employees work and live on their mobile devices. With this strong momentum we expect even more growth in 2016.”
Rapid Customer Growth Among Industry Leaders
In 2015, Skycure was selected by companies in a number of industries, including consumer packaged goods, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation. These customers included a Fortune 50 pharmaceutical company, a Fortune 100 healthcare company, and a Fortune 500 financial services company. Skycure also received the ultimate validation when its customer, New York Life, enhanced its support for Skycure and its products by participating the company’s Series A funding round.
Leadership and Company Expansion
In 2015, Skycure expanded its reach globally with the opening of its new headquarters in Palo Alto, California. Today the company also announces two new members of its executive team, Eric Morris, as senior vice president, global sales, and Alberto Rodrigues, vice president of customer success. Eric is responsible for overseeing the company’s global sales and channel strategy as the company extends its reach into new regions and vertical markets. Alberto will lead all aspects of the customer lifecycle.
“Two things drew me to Skycure,” said Eric Morris, Skycure SVP of Global Sales. “The clear and massive problem of mobile threats, and the straightforward simplicity of the product for users and security teams. Skycure is incredibly complex technology wrapped up in a simple app that adds no burden on IT and requires no change in user behavior. It’s a dream enterprise security solution.”
Security Research Leadership
Skycure has discovered some of the most well-known attacks and vulnerabilities in recent years and 2015 was no exception. In April, the company revealed the No iOS Zone vulnerability that allows denial of service (DoS) attacks on iOS devices. Skycure security analysts also researched and updated the product to protect Skycure customers against attack from high-profile mobile vulnerabilities within days or even hours of their identification throughout the year, including Android Installer, Hijacking, SwiftKey, Stagefright, YiSpecter, XcodeGhost.
Exponential Product Growth
The magic of Skycure is that the Skycure Crowd Wisdom Engine grows and learns with every new customer, device, and user it’s tasked to protect. In 2015, Skycure grew exponentially, enhancing protection for every new customer. In the past year, Skycure has:
- Conducted 51 million network tests
- Detected the installation of nearly 13,000 malicious apps
- Increased the number of network devices protected by 235 percent
- Grown the number of users protected by 300 percent
- Scanned 320 percent more apps than in 2014
- Scanned 500 percent more hotspots than in 2014
The product has also been enhanced through strategic technology integrations. Partnerships with Airwatch and MobileIron allow companies to add active mobile threat defense to their EMM for a more comprehensive mobile security solution. Skycure also recently announced an integration with Microsoft Exchange to proactively protect mobile email. The company expects more technology integrations in 2016.
