Fireglass Selected as Finalist for MIT Sloan CIO Symposium’s Innovation Showcase
New York, NY. – May 16, 2017 – The 14th annual MIT Sloan CIO Symposium has selected Fireglass as one of the ten finalists for the 2017 Innovation Showcase, highlighting the strategic value and innovation that Fireglass’ True Isolation™ technology brings to the digital enterprise now and in the future. Fireglass will receive key exposure to many of the world’s most creative and influential IT executives at the Symposium on May 24, 2017.
“Fireglass is honored to be a finalist at the MIT Sloan Innovation Showcase, which brings the world’s most innovative technologies,” said Guy Guzner, Fireglass’ CEO and co-founder. “Malware and phishing are rapidly growing because existing security solutions are unable to protect against these threats. Unlike traditional solutions, our isolation platform does not rely on a ‘good vs. bad’ approach and therefore is able to protect even against the most sophisticated unknown threats.”
Just by clicking on a link to a seemingly safe web site, unsuspecting users can enable malware to infect their endpoint. Instead of trying to distinguish good from bad, the Fireglass Threat Isolation Platform isolates and renders all web pages, links and documents remotely. Fireglass agentless isolation platform delivers a 100% percent safe visual stream of the web session to the user’s native browser while providing a seamless user experience.
“It is with great honor that we recognize these 10 companies for our 2017 Innovation Showcase,” said Anton Teodorescu, Co-Chair of the Innovation Showcase. “The Symposium provides an opportune environment for these early-stage companies to form valuable partnerships with CIOs and a platform to demonstrate their technologies that are building the digital enterprise.”
After careful consideration, the Innovation Showcase judges evaluated and selected Fireglass for this honor based on the following criteria:
- It has a B2B or B2C enterprise IT solution product in the market;
- It is selling enterprise IT solutions to CIOs or corporate IT departments; and
- It shows innovation and/or strategic value and potential impact on the top and/or bottom lines.
