Savino Dambra is currently a research scientist in the NRG team.
He obtained a Double Degree in Computer Science from the Politecnico di Bari in Italy and the Université Nice Sophia Antipolis in France. During his Ph.D. at Eurecom he was advised by Davide Balzarotti and Leyla Bilge.
His research interests revolve around predictive security, with a particular focus on cyber risks. His work aims at leveraging large data sets of real-world telemetry for developing novel techniques for threat detection, risk assessment, predicting cyber-incident risks and frauds employing machine learning algorithms. He is also interested in users’ tracking and profiling both on the web and mobile.

This paper looks at past research conducted in the area of cyber insurance and classifies previous studies in four different areas. Then it identifies, a group of practical research problems where security experts could help the cyber insurance domain.
